the knitting clock

...this is an absolutely superb idea and concept!

according to the mastermind behind this intriguing concept... "the 365 knitting clock was made to measure and register time in a three dimensional form to visualise the otherwise invisible time factor that connects us all. Instead of showing time in numbers, the tool we normally use to understand and organise time, the knitting clock shows the philosophical point of the ongoing process of time. It is knitting the hours and the days and shows the time as something that is constantly moving, changing and developing.  Every passing of a half hour is marked by the knitting of a stitch, a full day is measured by a full circle around the clock and a year results in a two metre long scarf. After one year the wool has to be replaced and a new year can be knitted. The year that has past is this year’s scarf. And the coming year is the wool unknitted.”

I can't stop swooning...
...but I do wonder what happens when it's daylight savings time...

...Estate Finds

It may not me summer in my slice of the world, but this vintage shell-encrusted mirror leaves me quite hopeful.

I fell immediately in luv, luv, luv with this pair of pink linen upholstered occasional chairs.  The colour is soooo fresh and the sculped highbacks are a very attractive {read ~ 'inviting'}.  The polished nickel nailheads pays subtle homage to a more classic & elegant office space.  The ample seat perched atop a ebony wood base beckons me to sit for hours.  Me likey!

Too cute!  A little early for holiday ornaments.  But, I just couldn't pass this up.  It definitely has inspired me to give my holiday decor some thoughts.  All hand knitted...  I say 'irresistable'!
